Johnstone Burgh 3-1 Dundee North End

Johnstone Burgh 3-1 Dundee North End

Johnstone Burgh reached the fourth round of the Scottish Junior Cup with a 3-1 win over Dundee North End.

Burgh started brightly, and took the lead in the 14th minute when left back Kian Gilday cut inside onto his right foot and curled it beautifully around the keeper and in at the far post.

We doubled our lead on 28 minutes through Kyle Lafferty. A long ball over the top from Fraser Mullen was miscontrolled by a Dundee North End defender, and the former Northern Ireland international ran onto it and lifted his volley over North End keeper Grant Adam.

Five minutes later, it was 3-0 when Gilday looked to send the ball across the box but his cross was deflected into the net.

North End grabbed a goal back just before half time with an effort from close range that was stabbed into the net by Cameron Blacklock.
